Gearbox's current focus is on polishing/finishing the game but they want to do some DLC and then think about the future. In a series of tweets Gearbox president Randy Pitchford revealed quite a few details about Duke Nukem Forever saying that a demo is being worked on, hopefully to be released before May, and while the developers would love to add mod tools, it is not part of the initial plans, but once the game is actually released in stores, they might look into that possibility.
